The Modelmacher family
Hi, weāre Kevin and Jana ā welcome to our shop!
Our journey began in Düsseldorf, Germany, where Kevin studied and discovered a passion for 3D printing. After Kevinās internship at a major 3D printing department in Wolfsburg, we realized how many creative designs were out there ā and how few people had access to them without a printer.
Thatās why we started this shop: to bring unique, high-quality 3D-printed pieces to design lovers everywhere.
Got a cool model youād like printed? Send it our way ā we love turning ideas into reality!
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does shipping take several days?
Each item is 3D printed individually, and even small components often take 5ā12 hours to produce. Depending on stock levels, we typically ship within 2ā14 business days.
This is actually faster than most websites offering made-to-order 3D prints, thanks to our streamlined workflow and in-house production.
How long does delivery take once shipped?
Germany: Estimated delivery in 2ā4 business days via DHL or Hermes.
European Union: Estimated delivery in 5ā10 business days via DHL.
International: Weāre currently focusing on EU customers and do not ship outside Europe at the moment - but weāre working on it!
Hint: If youāre located in the Düsseldorf or Neuss area, we might reach out with a personal message to offer direct delivery ā and refund your shipping fee. š
Can I customize the color of a product?
Absolutely! We love making custom pieces.
Just go to our Contact page and mention:
- product name
- part(s) you'd like to customize
- general colors you have in mind
Weāll get back to you promptly to confirm and make it happen!
What materials do you use? Are they safe for home use?
We primarily use PLA and PETG for our prints:
- PLA: Ideal for vibrant, decorative items.
- PETG: Great for parts needing more strength or durability.
Both materials are non-toxic and odorless, making them perfect for indoor/home use.
Unlike other plastics like ABS, they donāt emit harmful fumes and are generally safe to print in the same room ā safer than walking a few blocks in city traffic!
I found a cool 3D model online, but I donāt have a printer. Can you help?
Yes! If you have a 3D file (like STL or OBJ), just reach out via the Contact form.
Weāll review your model and offer a fair quote based on printing time and material costs. Itās a great way to bring your idea to life without needing your own printer.
